ASSISTANT ARTISTIC DIRECTOR
EVONNE LINDOW is the Assistant Artistic Director at the studio and specializes in teaching tap and jazz technique. She has taught both for fifteen years at Meg Segreto’s Dance Centre, where she rounds out her offerings as a teacher with ballet/tap combination classes, acrobatics, and hip hop. Recognition for Evonne’s choreography and teaching expertise has come from Florida Dance Masters – a statewide organization at whose conventions Evonne has been honored to work at and serve as one of their invited jazz dance teachers. She tested and received her teaching certificates in tap and jazz from Florida Dance Masters in 1994, and she continues her education and hones her skills through their renowned Intensive Teacher Training program. Evonne has also been given the opportunity to be a guest jazz teacher at ArtServe, which serves the needs of artists and nonprofit cultural organizations in Broward County. Evonne has performed onstage with Wayne Newton as a June Taylor dancer in a tribute to Jackie Gleason; she has performed with and is currently a board member of the TranZenDance Company. Producing performances is important for Evonne. Her production credits include the Fort Lauderdale-Hyatt’s Pier 66 for Fort Lauderdale’s annual Woman of the Distinction event benefiting the March of Dimes, Disney World’s Tomorrowland stage and Young at Art, while assisting Meg with benefit concerts for Gilda’s Club of Fort Lauderdale, and Joe DiMaggio’s Children’s Hospital, among many others. Evonne has been with the studio for twenty years, and she is honored to be Assistant Director of Meg Segreto’s Dance Centre.
TEACHING STAFF
GERMAN DAGER ‘s studies in classical ballet, jazz and modern dance were completed at Les Grands Ballet Canadiense, Les Ballets Jazz de Montreal and in York University in Toronto, Ontario. He also trained on full scholarship at Miami Conservatory, Magda Aunon School of Classical Ballet in Ft. Lauderdale, The North Carolina School of the Arts, Pennsylvania Ballet and the Boston Ballet. German danced principal roles in Don Quixote, Les Sylphides, Coppelia, Corsair, Sleeping Beauty, The Nutcracker and Romeo and Juliet. In 1985, at the Southeastern Regional Ballet Festival, he was honored with a Dance Magazine scholarship and sent to New York to train with the best teachers in the United States. German danced professionally with Boston Ballet II, Ballet de Montreal under the artistic direction of Eddy Toussaint, Ballet Florida and was a guest dancer with Compania Colombiana de Ballet. German has been teaching since 1986. In November 2005, he was a guest teacher and judge for the Dance Masters of America, Pennsylvania Chapter in Pittsburg. He is a certified classical ballet teacher by examination, an active member of Florida Dance Masters and in the U.S.; he holds the equivalent of a Bachelor of Science in Education degree with a major in Teaching Dance.
JENNIFER VANUCCHI DOLAN began her ballet training in Ft. Lauderdale with Magda Aunon and later studied at Miami Dance Theatre under the direction of Judy Newman and Mariana Alvarez. In 1992, she graduated from the University of Miami and began dancing professionally with Southern Ballet Theatre in Orlando, FL. She danced with SBT for six seasons performing soloist and principal roles in many ballets including The Nutcracker, Giselle, Les Sylphides, Serenade, and Swan Lake. In 1998, she was selected from hundreds of dancers in nationwide auditions for the premier season of The Carolina Ballet. Her choreography has been selected numerous times for the Southeast Regional Dance Festival and she was twice awarded the festival’s Emerging Choreographer Award. Her most recent work performed at the Southeast Regional Dance Festival was awarded best choreography and chosen to be performed at the 2007 International Ballet Competition. Jennifer is a certified teacher and active member of Florida Dance Masters.
JENNIFER FLANAGAN has been dancing at MSDC since the age of three,. She has been an assistant teacher for six years and in the perpetual motions dance company for seven years. She teaches ballet, tap, and jazz to students three and up. She has performed at Walt Disney World, Signature Grand, Viscaya, Art in the Park, private occasions and Promenade in the Park. Jennifer has participated in many performances to raise money for Non-profit organizations such as Gilda clubs Noogieland program and for Joe DiMaggio’s Children’s Program and many others. For the past two years Jennifer has been able to train with the American Theater Dance workshop at Hofstra University. Jennifer loves teaching and dancing at MSDC and knows your children will have the same love for her.
ERICA FRIEDMAN began her dance training at Meg Segreto’s Dance Centre at the age of three. By the age of eleven, she became an assistant teacher and is currently teaching ballet, tap, and jazz to students ages three through seven. She has been a Senior member of MSDC’s resident performance group, Perpetual Motion Dance Company, for the past nine years. Erica has been a guest performer at various fundraising events for non-profit organizations such as, Gilda’s Club, Julia’s Fund Noogieland, and Joe DiMaggio’s Children’s Hospital. Erica has also participated in various performances in Disney World, Signature Grand, and Viscaya. In school, Erica has taken courses in early childhood development and received her CDA (Child Development Associate). She is currently enrolled in college and is studying Elementary Education. Erica loves working with children and is excited to be working with the student’s at Megs!
LINDSEY-LEE JOLLY trained under Meg and her staff for 14 years, eventually becoming a member of Perpetual Motion Dance Company and an assistant teacher. She was also a member of the Florida Dance Masters performing group “Main Attraction” and has received various scholarships and titles from the organization including Florida’s Rising Star and Miss Dance of Florida. She has been presented with an Honorable Mention Silver Knights Award from the Miami Herald for her work in the performing arts and its influence on the community. Lindsey-Lee has studied at Jacob’s Pillow, North Carolina School of the Arts, Miami City Ballet, and the Martha Graham School of Contemporary Dance. She spent her first two years of college at the Conservatory of Dance at SUNY Purchase before transferring to the New World School of the Arts/University of Florida, where she received a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Dance. In 2004, she was selected to perform on stage with Mikhail Baryshnikov for his Solo Tour. Lindsey-Lee is a member and certified teacher of Florida Dance Masters and has taught master classes for the organization. She is happy to be a part of the MSDC family again this year and looks forward to being the Director of Education at Meg Segreto’s Dance Centre.
JENNIFER LAURITANO began to study dance at the age of three. At the age of eight she began to study dance at Meg Segreto’s and has aspired to be a professional dancer and teacher ever since. She has won many scholarship awards from Florida Dance Masters for tap, jazz, and overall. She has traveled the country dancing in “Legends in Concert” and performing in industrial shows. Jennifer also performed as a Rockette in Radio City Christmas Spectacular for three years. She is a certified teacher and a member of Florida Dance Masters. Jennifer enjoys teaching ballet, tap and jazz at Meg Segreto’s Dance Centre.
SHARI LITTLE was born in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma where she began her training in Ballet with Evonne Chouteau. Ms. Little studied Ballet at the School of American Ballet and American Ballet Theatre School in New York for many summers as a young adult. Ms. Little performed as a Principal Dancer with Ballet Oklahoma, Ohio Ballet, Dallas Ballet, Pittsburgh Ballet Theatre, and Miami City Ballet. After retiring from performing, Ms. Little taught extensively for Miami City Ballet as well as directed their education program for the Public Schools of South Florida. While teaching for Miami City Ballet, Ms. Little attended Educating Hands School of Massage. Shari Little is currently teaching for Peaches School of Dance as well as Meg Segreto’s Dance Centre. She is practicing massage at Florida International University and University of Miami's wellness center. The most challenging but fulfilling job is raising her six year old son, Nathan. |
